Job summary

YMCA of Greater New York is seeking an Inclusion Specialist for its West Side Afterschool program. You will shape a positive, supportive environment where diverse youth can thrive socially and emotionally, working with a dedicated team to empower children.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the specified fields is required.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with children under 13.
• Current Pediatrics CPR or First Aid certification preferred.
• Ability to speak multiple languages preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning and build strong connections within the afterschool program.
• Create a safe, fun space for kids to learn, grow, and develop valuable skills.
• Lead creative activities and guide students in making proactive, positive choices.
• Collaborate with a compassionate team to foster inclusive, respectful environments for all abilities.
