Job summary

The Ruth Gorse Academy is seeking an Inclusion & Safeguarding Officer to join our Inclusion Team. You will support safeguarding systems, mentor students and promote welfare to help learners achieve their potential.

Reporting to the Inclusion and Safeguarding Leader, you will work with families, staff and agencies to secure positive outcomes and contribute to a culture of high expectations and care.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Clean UK driving licence required.
• Knowledge of EHCP and SEMH processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers and succeed.

Responsibilities

• Support safeguarding and inclusion systems on a day-to-day basis under the Inclusion Leader.
• Provide intervention, mentoring and pastoral support to students.
• Collaborate with families, staff and external agencies to secure positive outcomes for students.
