Job summary

Elliott Hudson College, part of The GORSE Academies Trust, is seeking a Student Services, Welfare and Administration Officer to support attendance, student wellbeing and the smooth day-to-day operation of the college. You will be a visible, trusted presence in Student Services, helping students thrive both academically and personally.

This role offers front-of-house support, close collaboration with safeguarding and pastoral teams, maintaining records, and coordinating welfare and medical needs

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with students, parents/carers and colleagues.
  • A calm, professional approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A commitment to promoting student wellbeing, attendance and achievement.

Responsibilities

  • Promoting excellent attendance and punctuality across the college.
  • Monitoring attendance, identifying concerns and working with students, parents/carers and staff to improve outcomes.
  • Providing front-of-house support through the Student Services office.
  • Supporting student welfare, first aid and medical needs.
  • Maintaining accurate student records and administrative systems.
  • Working closely with safeguarding, SEND and pastoral colleagues to provide coordinated support for students.

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and caring individual to join our Post-16 team as a Student Services, Welfare and Administration Officer. This is a key role at the heart of the college, providing vital support that enables students to thrive both academically and personally. As a visible and trusted presence within Student Services, you will help promote excellent attendance, support student wellbeing and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the college.

This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with young people, build positive relationships and make a genuine difference to their educational experience and future aspirations.

About The Role
