Job summary

The Carmel/Clay Board of Parks and Recreation is seeking an Inclusion Program Team Lead (Part-Time) at Monon Community Center to assist the Inclusion Supervisor and help run adaptive recreation programs. You will plan, prepare, and implement activities, coordinate training, and ensure smooth on-site operations.

The role requires flexibility, strong organizational and communication skills, and a willingness to work at least four days per week, including some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of experience leading adaptive recreation programs or with disabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy, special education, or related field preferred.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).

Responsibilities

• Assist Inclusion Supervisor with scheduling staff and program documents.
• Plan and implement adaptive recreation programs, camps and events.
• Lead activities, manage setups/teardowns, maintain participant engagement.
• Provide enrollment information and accommodate participants and families.
• Coordinate training sessions for staff and volunteers.
• Set up/teardown spaces and ensure post-activity condition.
• Maintain on-site presence at least four days per week including evenings/weekends.
• Respond to inquiries with excellent customer service and escalate when needed.
• Support inclusion of participants with disabilities across CCPR programs.
