Job summary

Qualifications

• SPED training preferred.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• Program Assistant training, experience or equivalent is desired.
• Enjoy children and be capable of using good judgment in working with students and instructional staff assigned to the program.
• Ability to communicate with TEAM members and work cooperatively as student dictates and maintains a safe and secure educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Support students with disabilities in inclusive and substantially separate settings.
• Needs to assist with a behavior plan implementation.
• Provide academic support as needed.
• May need to support feeding and toileting need.
• Monitoring for attention, work completion and social navigation.
• Perform duties as assigned by school administration.
• Perform other duties as per the building supervisor.
