Job summary

Bend-La Pine Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant– Inclusion to support instructional programs for students with special needs at Rosland Elementary in La Pine, Oregon. The role involves assisting with IEPs, small group instruction, and daily classroom activities under supervision of licensed staff.

Daily duties include monitoring student progress, communicating with teachers and parents, and preparing instructional materials.

Qualifications

Two years of related college education or an AA degree.
Experience supporting students with special needs is preferred.
Ability to follow instructional plans and adapt to student needs.

Responsibilities

Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
Support special education staff with preparation, implementation, and evaluation of instructional programs.
Communicate with teachers and parents on student progress.
Maintain records to monitor student data and progress.
Provide students with additional practice on identified skills.
Prepare instructional materials and operate instructional equipment.
Supervise students during recess and other times to maintain a safe environment.
Assist in monitoring daily routines and support students with mild to profound disabilities.
