ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking an Incident Response Coordinator to manage end-to-end incident response and service disruption recovery in a highly regulated federal environment.

The role coordinates across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and vendors, delivering timely status updates and ensuring audit-ready documentation throughout the incident lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 4–7 years of experience in incident management or related IT operations roles coordinating multi‑party incident activities.
• Strong understanding of ITIL‑aligned incident management and structured incident response practices.
• Proficiency with IT service management platforms and monitoring solutions; ability to manage multiple incidents and communicate in a high‑pressure SOC environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills for technical staff and business leadership.
• Active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain and maintain required background investigation; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Organize response efforts across the full end-to-end lifecycle of incidents, high-impact events, and multiple concurrent incidents; set priorities and track progress.
• Ensure accurate categorization, CI linkage, documentation, and knowledge updates; maintain audit-ready records and timelines.
• Use monitoring/ITSM data to route incidents and engage dependencies across infra, apps, cyber, and vendors.
• Provide structured internal communications, leadership updates, stakeholder briefings, and status pages; manage shift handoffs.
• Help lead post-incident reviews and PIRs; identify recurring patterns and update runbooks and workflows.
• Elevate deteriorating/unresolved incidents per SLA/escalation guidelines.
• Collect and store key decisions and timelines for compliance/audits.
• Serve as single point of contact to coordinate IT incidents among teams to drive timely resolution.
• Track incidents and verify remediation steps using ITSM platforms and monitoring tools for audits.
• Participate in post-incident reviews to translate lessons learned into updates.
