Sophos, a cybersecurity leader, seeks an Incident Response Consultant in Japan to coordinate between customers and DFIR teams during incidents. You will guide engagement scope, manage communications, and ensure timely remediation and closure while translating updates between English and Japanese when needed.

You will work with global security teams to maintain a professional incident experience, support customer updates, and help gather required information.

Competenze

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT, security operations, incident management, or related environments.
• Experience coordinating or supporting cybersecurity incidents is highly valued.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and common technologies.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.

Mansioni

• Act as a primary coordination point between customers and DFIR consultants during active cybersecurity incidents.
• Coordinate and host incident scoping calls with customers to understand the incident and requirements.
• Coordinate incident response activities from initial engagement through investigation, remediation, and closure.
• Work with DFIR consultants to track investigation progress, priorities, and customer requirements.
• Maintain clear communication with customers throughout an incident, including updates and next steps.
• Coordinate meetings, updates, deliverables, and follow-up activities between customers and internal teams.
• Help customers gather information, logs, access, and context required by DFIR consultants.
• Track actions, decisions, dependencies, and outstanding items across the lifecycle.
• Identify delays or blockers and escalate as needed.
• Translate technical updates into clear language for customers without changing conclusions.
• Translate reports and updates from English to Japanese when required.
• Support the preparation and delivery of customer updates and debriefings.
• Coordinate with Threat Intelligence, MSSP, and other teams when required.
• Help ensure a consistent, professional customer experience during high-stress incidents.
