Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Dallas seeks a Program Therapist to provide complex social, therapeutic, and psychosocial intake services for incarcerated individuals through our diversion program. Under supervision, the therapist will perform assessments, advocacy, and evidence-based interventions within the jail setting to connect clients with appropriate care and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related mental health field.
• LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LPC-Intern, LMFT, LMFT-A
• Minimum 1 year experience in psychiatric health care facility with crisis intervention and group therapies; strong clinical assessment skills.
• Trauma Informed Care or Substance Abuse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, assessments, and follow-up care.
• Coordinates with corrections for discharge planning and housing.
• Develops and leads group treatment on mental health observation units and other units as assigned.
• Maintains confidentiality and completes HIPAA-compliant records.
