Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Dallas in Garland, Texas seeks a Program Therapist to provide intake, assessment, and therapeutic services for incarcerated individuals through a diversion program. The role includes clinical screening, advocacy, and evidence-based interventions across a diverse behavioral health caseload.

You will conduct mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, and coordinate discharge planning with re-entry clinicians while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related field required.
• Active licensure as LCSW/LMSW/LPC/LMFT or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in psychiatric health care facility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, assessments and follow-up.
• Determine disposition and coordinate levels of care.
• Coordinate discharge planning with re-entry clinicians.
• Produce required statistical reports and maintain records.
• Collaborate with corrections to ensure access to patients and treatment.
• Lead group treatment on observation units and participate in rounds.
