This role plans, organizes and monitors receiving, storage and distribution from suppliers, prioritizing orders and training staff. Key duties include hiring and training new employees, supervising shifts, receiving/transferring materials, managing KPIs, maintaining procedures and equipment, and coordinating with customers and carriers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Knowledge of picking, packing, and shipping tasks.
• 3–5 years of Supervisory experience or equivalent work experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with inventory research.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, notably Excel.
• Ability to operate powered equipment: Forklift, walkie rider, Reach, Picker, and Sit-down.

Responsibilities

• Hire and ensure proper training of new employees for the department.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of employees and monitor departmental functions on the floor.
• Receive and transfer materials.
• Performance management of all employees (KPIs).
• Document, update, and ensure procedures and quality processes are followed.
• Maintain supplies and equipment levels for the department.
• Monitor and adhere to customer requests and vendor-specific shipping requirements.
• Update and maintain timekeeping and metrics in business systems, as they relate to WMS reporting.
• Ensure that shift-end specific department procedures with all systems are completed and floor end-of-shift closeout is followed.
• New customer integration and migration testing.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Understand traffic coordination.
