Job summary

Target's General Merchandise team is hiring an Inbound Expert to support store operations through sorting, stocking, and maintaining merchandise on the sales floor.

The role emphasizes teamwork, guest service, problem-solving, and adherence to safety and policies, with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and peak shopping times.

You will engage with guests, operate scanners and handheld devices, and help ensure product availability and efficient store flow.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and teammates.
• Ability to communicate on frequency devices, operate handheld scanners, and use technology equipment.
• Work independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly.
• Attention to detail and follow processes.
• Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and complete tasks within timeframes.
• Open to a flexible schedule: nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.

Responsibilities

• Execute detailed sorting operations.
• Stock, organize, and store reserve product and straighten merchandise on the sales floor.
• Maintain product availability on the sales floor for GM categories.
• Operate powered equipment during unloading and moving merchandise.
• Process defective merchandise and handle ESIM items in compliance with laws.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‑up (OPU), and drive‑up (DU).
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting and assisting guests.
• Perform all other duties as directed by business needs.
