Job summary

DCL Inc. in Louisville, KY is seeking a Receiving Supervisor for Swing Shift. You will lead the receiving team to ensure accurate intake, documentation, and timely processing of inbound shipments and returns, while coordinating with warehouse, QA, and customer service functions.

The role requires strong leadership, warehouse/3PL experience, and a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and safety. Expect standard duties with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading a receiving department.
• Experience in a 3PL or warehouse environment.
• Ability to supervise, train, and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all receiving activities, including unloading, inspecting, sorting, and documentation of incoming shipments.
• Ensure all received goods are accurately counted, verified, and entered in ERP systems.
• Collaborate with Client Services, Inventory Control, and Quality Control to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain daily accuracy of inbound logs and receiving hold logs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area and comply with OSHA and company standards.
• Provide training to receiving personnel and maintain training records.
• Monitor KPIs such as receiving accuracy, turnaround time, and damaged rates.
• Schedule and assign tasks based on workload and priorities.
• Prepare spreadsheet reports per customer requests and uphold 5S standards.
• Ensure ISO 9001 and 14001 compliance.
