Job description

The pay range per hour is $28.25 - $48.00.

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience, and certifications. ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE

Experts of operations, process, and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is merchandised and available, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all GM areas of the store. This team leads Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food-safe experience. Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by owning pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work.

The Inbound team are experts at unloading trailer deliveries and preparing the merchandise to be stocked on the sales floor.

Role of Inbound Operations Team Leader

  • Guest service fundamentals and building a guest-first culture on your team
  • Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing, and promotion strategies
  • Planning department (s) daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver sales goals
  • Leading a team of hourly team members, including skills in interviewing, developing, coaching, evaluating, and retaining talent

As an Inbound Operations Team Leader, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

  • Understanding sales goals, plans, and executing daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement
  • Leading and sharing expertise in operations, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Establishing clear goals and expectations with your direct leader and holding team members accountable
  • Utilizing workload planning tools to complete scheduled tasks ensuring the area is guest-ready at store open
  • Assigning daily tasks to team members based on workload and guest traffic patterns
  • Working a schedule that may include early morning, evening, overnight shifts, and weekends
  • Assessing GM backroom, sales floor, and reporting to identify gaps and develop resolution plans
  • Ensuring product availability for purchase
  • Supporting organizational and operational change initiatives
  • Building and developing a team through ongoing training and feedback
  • Demonstrating inclusivity and creating equitable experiences
  • Leading a culture of safety, ethical conduct, and compliance
  • Modeling safety behaviors, identifying hazards, and reporting incidents
  • Supporting security and merchandise protection strategies
  • Following all safety and security training and processes
  • Handling emergency and compliance needs
  • Supporting guest services such as cashiering, order pickup, and Drive Up
  • Creating a welcoming experience and engaging with guests
  • Performing other duties as needed based on business needs

Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Age 18 or older
  • Previous retail experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to lead, learn, work independently and in teams, manage workload, and stay focused in a fast-paced environment

  • Access to all areas of the store to respond to issues
  • Ability to interpret instructions and reports
  • Accurate cash handling skills
  • Physical ability to climb ladders and move merchandise
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility in work hours
