Job summary

Mars Fishcare in Chalfont, PA is seeking an Inbound Materials Handler to unload, store and stage incoming materials, manage receipts in the ERP system, and support inventory accuracy.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced warehouse environment; shift is Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 3pm.

Responsibilities

  • Unload incoming trailer using PITs and stage materials.
  • Receive and store goods, post receipts to ERP, ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate inbound deliveries with supply and production teams.
  • Support production readiness and material prep for upcoming runs.
  • Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Back up outbound shipping operations as needed.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely per OSHA guidelines.
  • Maintain 5S practices and clean, hazard-free docks.

MarsFishcare-Inbound Materials Handler - Chalfont, PA

- Pay: based on experience starting at $25.08/Hour+

Shift Schedule: Monday- Friday 6:30am- 3pm (flexible pending business needs)

Description of Role:

Loading, unloading, moving, and storing materials within the warehouse facility to ensure smooth operations. Key duties include inventory management, order fulfillment, operating warehouse equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation in the ERP system.

What are we looking for?
MinimumRequirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • Previous experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating a forklift
  • Proficiency in MS Office and email communication
Physical Requirements:
  • Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
  • Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
  • Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
  • Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree or certification in relatedarea
  • Forkliftcertification
  • 2+ years’ experience in warehousing or manufacturing
  • Comfortable with warehouse ERP systems
What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Unloading Incoming Trailer using PIT’s: Safely unload and stage all incoming raw materials using PIT’s (Powered Industrial Equipment)
  • Receipt and Storage of Goods: Verify, inspect & count all incoming deliveries, post receipts to ERP system and store in the warehouse.
  • Inbound Scheduling: Collaborate with supply and commercial teams to coordinate scheduling of inbound deliveries and manage daily & weekly workflow of the receiving operation.
  • Production Support: Provide support to the Expediter by assisting in the readiness of upcoming production runs and pick of raw materials for production, in addition to the return of excess raw materials back into inventory.
  • Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts of raw materials monthly to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Shipping Department Backup: Serve as qualified cross-functional backup for outbound freight operations, assisting with loading outbound deliveries, in addition to other needs of the business.
  • Equipment Operation & Safety: Safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, clamp trucks) in compliance with OSHA and internal safety guidelines; perform required pre-operational equipment safety checks.
  • 5S & Warehouse Housekeeping: Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse dock and aisle areas aligned with Mars safety, quality, and sanitation/pest control standards.
  • Quality Assurance Support: Partner with QA to provide samples for testing and control of non-conforming items.
