Job summary

Royal Canin, a division of Mars, Incorporated, seeks an Inbound Logistics Operator for our Fremont, NE facility. The role coordinates inbound/outbound shipments, manages yard and dock operations, and handles ERP/WMS tasks in SAP and JDA/Blue Yonder to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing flow.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in shipping/logistics, strong communication skills, and proficiency with ERP/WMS systems, with a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a shipping/receiving office, warehouse logistics, freight dispatch, or transportation coordination environment.
• Proven computer proficiency with ERP, WMS, or transportation management software (e.g., SAP, JDA/Blue Yonder, Manhattan, or equivalent).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with interpersonal coordination and problem resolution.
• Strong organizational, record-keeping, and multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Working understanding of shipping/receiving procedures, bill of lading documentation, and inventory flow.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with overtime flexibility as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inbound & Outbound Appointment Scheduling: Maintain and optimize master appointment schedules for all inbound raw material deliveries, packaging supplies, and outbound shipments.
• Systems Administration (SAP & JDA): Execute accurate transactions within SAP and JDA/Blue Yonder, including shipment confirmations, trailer check-in/check-out, inventory receiving, printing orders, trailer dispatch, and closing out shipment documentation.
• Dock & Yard Management: Oversee dock door assignments, trailer pool management, and carrier flow to maximize efficiency and minimize dock congestion and carrier dwell times.
• Carrier & Internal Communication: Act as the liaison between affiliate freight carriers, dispatchers, customer care, warehouse leads, and receiving teams to provide timely status updates and resolve delivery discrepancies.
• Gate & Receiving Office Operations: Monitor the plant receiving window, security gate logs, inbound/outbound scales, and office phone systems, ensuring adherence to site biosecurity, food safety, and safety protocols.
• Reporting & Invoicing: Prepare and distribute daily operational shipping/receiving reports, update status trackers, and provide documentation for billing, invoicing, and receipt reconciliation.
• Supplies & Inventory Support: Maintain operational inventory of shipping supplies, bills of lading (BOLs), seals, and receiving documentation.
• Shift Collaboration: Provide operational support to Shift Supervisors, Warehouse Leads, and cross-functional manufacturing teams across daily operations.
