Job summary

PFG Manufacturing in Englewood, CO is seeking an in-person Logistics Support professional to assist the Logistics Manager in controlling inbound freight costs and optimizing freight spend. You will help negotiate lowest rates while preserving service levels and support revenue reporting.

Responsibilities include identifying backhaul opportunities, coordinating contract carriage, monitoring deliveries, auditing freight bills, and collaborating with Accounting on vendor charges.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 6–12 Months logistics/transportation administrative support experience.
• Experience in logistics/transportation admin support in related area.

Responsibilities

• Work with Logistics Manager to negotiate lowest freight costs without reducing service level.
• Generate period-end revenue report.
• Identify backhaul pickups that do not meet the minimum requirement for revenue.
• Identify loads to be moved by contract carriage and schedule such moves.
• Monitor accepted loads and verify that the loads were delivered on time.
• Audit carriers' freight bills to ensure they agree with confirmations.
• Coordinate with Accounting to file vendor charge-backs to orders with volumes that have been confirmed but not shipped by managed vendor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
