Job summary

Velvet Caviar is seeking a hyper-organized Inbound Logistics & 3PL Manager to own our global supply chain from factory floor to customer door. You will protect margins, architect inbound status reporting, and drive peak performance across 3PL networks.

You will manage end-to-end logistics, coordinate shipments, negotiate freight rates, build dashboards, and audit 3PL performance while reporting monthly metrics. Fully remote with optional office attendance for a fast-growing brand.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing international logistics and 3PL partnerships for a high-volume ecommerce/retail brand.
• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent field.
• Experience coordinating with China factories' shipping teams and U.S. warehouses.
• Proven ability to negotiate rates with ocean and air freight options.
• Strong understanding of international shipping, customs, and import compliance.
• Strong capabilities in building live dashboards and status tracking reports.
• Excellent communication skills; Mandarin speaking is a plus but not required.
• Excel formula development and management skills.

What you’ll do:

• Manage end-to-end global logistics for inventory moving from international factories to U.S. warehouses
• Serve as the primary point of contact for our factory shipping team counterparts and systems building.
• Coordinate weekly shipments via air or ocean freight, balancing budget constraints against strict delivery timelines.
• Negotiate freight rates, service levels, and contracts with carriers and freight forwarders.
• Ensure full compliance with shipping, customs, and retail vs DTC routing guidelines.
• Build live dashboards for tracking shipments in real time for simple internal team updates
• Resolve supply chain bottlenecks including port delays, customs errors, and transit discrepancies in real time.
• Oversee 3PL partners as the primary point of contact, auditing performance KPIs and SLA compliance.
• Optimize 3PL operations and invoice accuracy to identify cost-saving efficiencies.
• Manage inventory reconciliation by issuing chargebacks for short-shipped factory orders against receiving logs.
• Authorize PO releases and approve vendor deliveries for internal payment processing.
• Report monthly metrics covering total logistics spend, landed product costs, and 3PL performance.
• Source, evaluate, and support new logistics vendors as needed.

Requirements:

• Excited to build innovative supply chain infrastructure and maximize efficiencies
• 5+ years of experience managing international logistics and 3PL partnerships for a high-volume e-commerce and retail integrated consumer-goods brand.
• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent field.
• Experience coordinating with China factories' shipping teams and U.S. warehouses.
• Proven ability to negotiate rates with carriers between ocean and air freight options.
• Strong understanding of international shipping, customs, and import compliance.
• Strong capabilities in building live dashboards and status tracking reports
• Strong analytical and reporting skills to team leaders and cross functional teams.
• Comfortable operating independently as the sole owner of logistics.
• Excellent communication skills, Mandarin speaking is preferred but not required.
• Excellent Excel formula development and management skills.
• Comfortable with mixed work hours, occasional evenings talking to oversees factories
