Job summary

GVEC is hiring a Customer Service Representative to assist electric and internet members by phone and in person, delivering helpful, clear service. The role emphasizes effective communication and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. The minimum starting pay is $20.00/hr plus bonuses tied to organizational benchmarks.

Typical hours run 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, Mon–Fri, with some evenings and Saturdays as needed. Location: Cuero, TX.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and independent troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, honest, and able to work independently.
• Team player open to constructive criticism.
• Minimum high school diploma.
• Willing to work a shifting schedule including some evenings and Saturdays.
• Proficient with PC and Internet.
• Able to work on-call shifts for outages.
• Occasionally work in other office locations.
