Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking an in-store shopper to prepare customer orders for delivery and pickup. You will shop throughout the store for everyday goods, including produce, meat, dairy, and prepared foods, with a flexible schedule emphasizing Saturdays and Sundays.

You’ll support the Customer Service & E-Commerce teams and use handheld technology for order prep. The role requires strong customer service, problem-solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Sufficient English language proficiency to prepare and shop customer orders.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills online orders efficiently, accurately and with urgency using handheld technology or fixed devices.
• Ensure product and order accuracy through meticulous verification and quality control processes.
• Learn and apply product knowledge, customer service standards, and store operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Maintain a clean staging area and organize work space.
• Handle in-store and online order returns and pickups.
• Comply with age verification and regulatory requirements for restricted items.
• Assist with customer inquiries and provide store information.
• Maintain knowledge of product and promotional events and store operations.
