Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Party and Event Host to plan, coordinate, and run engaging events such as children’s birthday parties inside our Greensburg store. You will deliver friendly customer service, support store operations, and foster a fun, creative atmosphere for guests of all ages.

Ideal candidates have experience with children, strong people skills, and the ability to manage multiple events and tasks in a busy retail environment.

• Must have good communication skills including written, verbal and nonverbal.

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children's birthday parties and other crafts/classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages, creating a fun and creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in crafts, perform face painting and other activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as emails, calls, and paperwork.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs; create backup plans as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events; maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
