Job summary

Houchens Food Group seeks an Inventory Manager for a full-time in-store role reporting to the Store Manager. You will manage all aspects of store inventory, including receiving, transfers, pricing changes, and shrink control to ensure product availability and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has retail inventory experience, strong computer skills (Word/Excel), and attention to detail. Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory principles in retail environments.
• Knowledge of retail computer systems; proficiency with Word and Excel is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organization, detail orientation, and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Receive all product into store inventory and complete receiving processes.
• Oversee/validate/complete inter-store transfers – in/out.
• Process credits and invoiced items not received.
• Validate all .com orders within 1 hour of receipt.
• Manage shrink and protect store assets with Store Manager.
• Ensure data accuracy in the store system (quantity on hand, dollar accuracy).
• Maintain inventory levels to minimize outages; manage backroom stock.
• Train staff on inventory management best practices.
• Learn and monitor inventory reports and location codes.
• Complete ACE Monthly Ad merchandise purchases and price changes.
