Job summary

Houchens Food Group is seeking an Inventory Manager to oversee all aspects of store inventory in-store, reporting to the Store Manager. You will manage receiving, transfers, pricing, and cycle counts while ensuring data accuracy and stock levels.

The role requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Experience with inventory principles and retail programs.
  • Understanding the flow of merchandise through the store.
  • Experience in a retail environment in inventory, sales, or back office.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to make sound decisions.
  • Knowledge of retail computer systems, Word, and Excel is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Receive all product into store inventory and complete receiving processes.
  • Oversee/validate/complete inter-store transfers – in/out.
  • Process credits and invoiced items not received.
  • Validate all online orders within 1 hour of receipt.
  • Manage the store's shrink with the Store Manager.
  • Ensure data accuracy in the store system (quantity on hand, dollars, etc.).
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels to minimize outages.
  • Complete cycle counts and ACE Monthly Ad merchandise purchases.
  • Update price changes and shelf labels; replace discontinued tags as needed.
