Job summary

Houchens Food Group is seeking an Inventory Manager to oversee all store inventory activities in-store. You will manage receiving, transfers, credits, and online orders while safeguarding asset integrity and accuracy of the store system.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong numerical skills, and the ability to train staff in inventory best practices, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory principles in a retail setting.
• Experience using retail programs and store software.
• Strong knowledge of Word and Excel is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receive all product into store inventory and complete receiving processes.
• Oversee inter-store transfers and in/out movement.
• Process credits and invoiced items not received as required.
• Validate all online orders within 1 hour of receipt.
• Responsible for the store’s shrink and loss prevention with management.
• Ensure data accuracy in the store system (QOH, dollar values, etc.).
• Maintain adequate inventory levels to minimize outages and backroom stock.
• Train staff on inventory management best practices.
• Monitor inventory reports and implement location codes.
