Job summary

LensCrafters within Macy’s is hiring EyeCare Advisors to deliver the LensCrafters experience. You will greet customers, explain tests and services, and assist with frame and lens selections. The role supports optometric care integration and aims to meet store KPIs.

The candidate should have strong customer service, sales skills, and familiarity with cash handling. Retail and optical experience are preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
• Knowledge of current fashion trends.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly (within 30 seconds).
• Answer the telephone quickly (3 rings) in a friendly manner.
• Explain all required paperwork, tests, products and services.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully; consult when needed.
• Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses suited for vision and budget.
• Perform pre-examination testing with accuracy and explain measurements.
