Michaels in Southgate, MI is seeking an enthusiastic Events Coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including children’s parties, craft classes, and activities. You will engage customers of all ages, guide participants through projects, and upsell party add-ons while maintaining store standards and safety.

You will also handle customer inquiries, coordinate with team members, and support merchandise and checkout processes to ensure a smooth guest experience.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Excellent people skills and effective communication.
• Experience working with children and children’s events is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Plan and coordinate multiple events in store, including children’s parties and crafts.
• Engage with customers of all ages and provide friendly shopping assistance.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants in crafts and activities; assist with party add-ons.
• Handle administrative tasks such as emails, calls, and paperwork.
• Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and adherence to SOPs during events.
