Job summary

Macy's is seeking a Director, In Store, to lead a team of People Leaders and shape strategy to achieve sales while maintaining an exceptional customer experience. You will train and develop leaders, drive merchandising and operational excellence, and ensure a clean, organized shopping environment for customers.

You will oversee performance analysis, implement action plans, and collaborate with managers to strengthen client relationships through Macy's services and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; 7-10 years of retail management with leadership development.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to present to management and partners.
• Basic math functions: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Exchange.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent prioritization, time management, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of People Leaders across Sales and Customer Experience to drive results.
• Coach, train, and develop skills to improve customer experience and store operations.
• Analyze store performance and create action plans to address deficient areas.
• Drive sales goals through coaching, feedback, and recognition while improving productivity.
• Plan and execute workload on pricing, signing, visual merchandising, and events.
• Oversee store operations including product movement, fulfillment, and back-of-house activities.
