Job summary

East Haven Builders Supply, a Division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to assist customers and contractors with the sales process in a retail setting.

You will greet customers, answer questions, process orders at the cash register, create invoices, and help with product selection, pricing, and deliveries. A High School Diploma or GED is required and 1–3 years of building materials sales experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of building material knowledge and sales experience preferred.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
• Must be able to drive and walk throughout yards, plants and offices.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers; answer questions about merchandise, pricing, promotions, and deliveries.
• Facilitate product selection for showroom customers and record accurate orders.
• Process sales at the cash register and collect payments.
• Create invoices and sales tickets; input data into the computer system.
• Maintain showroom cleanliness and stock levels on sales floor and in stockroom.
• Assist with yard/warehouse operations and safely operate forklifts or company vehicles when trained.
