Qualifications

• AA Degree or higher, or two years of college (72 quarter credits).
• Ability to meet State‑determined performance standards in reading, math and writing (para‑educator assessment).
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish and English or Russian and English preferred and/or may be required.
• Must operate standard office equipment and Google applications.
• Ability to learn and monitor student learning apps and programs.
• Assist with instruction and supervision under certificated instructor.
• Work with at-risk students and understand SEL/MTSS concepts.
• Record keeping and reporting using computerized systems.
• Independent work capability and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise student activities and monitor behavior in an on-campus suspension facility using specified software.
• Assist students with assignments and instruction related work.
• Reinforce material introduced by the teacher.
• Collect and enter data for the discipline system and generate reports.
• Assist teachers with drill work, notes, and make-up supervision.
• Maintain attendance and discipline records; report violations to administration.
• Coordinate referrals to support staff and counselors.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Supervise students.
