Orting School District is seeking a Substitute Paraeducator for the 2026-27 school year to support instructional activities under certificated teachers. Duties include supervising students, supporting instructional programs, and maintaining a safe learning environment across the district.

The role involves working with students individually or in small groups, focusing on various subjects and ensuring safety and orderly conduct in class and during activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to relate to students, staff and parents.
• Acceptable verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to utilize appropriate strategies and techniques to provide effective instructional support.

Responsibilities

• Work with students individually or in small groups in a variety of content areas/subjects.
• Provide for the safety of students at assigned work area by enforcing the rules for the site.
• Assist staff, as appropriate, in the design, implementation, and evaluation of instructional programs and student progress.
• Assist in student supervision, discipline and safety.
• Lead group discussions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
