Job summary

Midwest City Middle School is seeking an In School Restriction Teacher to help maintain a safe and orderly learning environment for students in the ISR room. The role is full-time and requires meeting the district’s high standards for conduct and supervision.

Starting immediately, the position supports the Secondary Instruction department in managing behavior and delivering assigned tasks, with duties that include daily lunch coordination and strict discipline procedures in ISR.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Must be highly qualified - Passed the Parapro Assessment or have successfully completed 48 college hours.

Responsibilities

• Takes necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment and facilities.
• Arrives punctually for activities and duties as assigned.
• Maintains appropriate emotional control, physical health and appearance.
• Demonstrates fiscal responsibility as relates to school equipment and supplies.
• Communicates with cafeteria daily on how many lunches to prepare.
• Communicates with teachers regarding assignments for students placed in ISR.
• Checks for completion of assigned work before the students return to regular classroom.
• Maintains a quiet environment conducive to learning.
• Strictly enforces ISR classroom discipline procedures to achieve behavior modification.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Parapro Assessment or 48 college hours
