SALARY SCHEDULE: SCHEDULE BB

DEPARTMENT: SECONDARY INSTRUCTION

FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

Position Summary

To assist the school in maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment for the students placed in the In School Restriction room.

Qualification Requirements
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must be highly qualified - Passed the Parapro Assessment or have successfully completed 48 college hours.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Takes necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment and facilities.
  • Accepts the responsibility and arrives punctually for activities and duties as assigned.
  • Maintains appropriate emotional control, physical health and personal appearance.
  • Demonstrates fiscal responsibility as relates to school equipment and supplies.
  • Communicates with cafeteria daily on how many lunches to prepare.
  • Communicates with teachers regarding assignments for students placed in ISR.
  • Checks for completion of assigned work before the students are allowed to return to the regular classroom. Returns completed assignments to the teachers.
  • Maintains a quiet environment conducive to learning.
  • Strictly enforces the discipline procedures of the ISR classroom in order to achieve behavior modification.
  • Additional duties that may be assigned by immediate supervisor or above.
Language And Grammar Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to compose and write grammatically correct correspondence and memos.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schedule form, or blueprint form.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Employee may occasionally be required to supervise a varying number of employees in the overall direction, coordination, and completion of tasks as assigned.
