Job summary

The Standard, Mexico City is seeking an In-Room Dining Server to join our hotel team in a fast-paced luxury environment. You will stock, set up, and deliver all room service orders, maintain a neat appearance, and be knowledgeable about all services and menu items.

Candidates should have refined verbal communication skills and be capable of lifting moderate weights. California alcohol handling rules apply for this position.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age (required by California law to handle alcoholic beverages)
• Previous experience working at a hotel/resort preferred
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• Refined verbal communication skills
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight

Responsibilities

• Stock, set-up, and deliver all room service orders and property amenities to guest rooms
• Retrieve trays from the guest rooms to maintain a neat and sanitary appearance
• Be knowledgeable of all services provided within the hotel and all menu items
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
• Ensure correct posting in POS system for communication to the service and kitchen department

As an In Room Dining Server, your duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Stock, set-up, and deliver all room service orders and property amenities to guest rooms


• Retrieve trays from the guest rooms to maintain a neat and sanitary appearance


• Be knowledgeable of all services provided within the hotel and all menu items


• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.


• Ensure correct posting in POS system for communication to the service and kitchen department.
