The LINE DC invites an In‑Room Dining Server to join a dynamic team rooted in culture and hospitality. You will deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced, supportive environment and collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure flawless service.

Based in the Washington DC Ward 1 area, you will uphold the LINE brand’s standards, engage guests with warmth, and contribute to memorable city experiences for guests and locals alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in hospitality/service preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a friendly smile and maintain eye contact.
• Provide courteous, professional service and uphold brand standards.

The Role…

We are seeking a dynamic In-Room Dining Server to join our team who also resides in the Washington DC Ward 1 Area. If hired, be prepared to receive a Ward 1 Resident Bonus of $300*. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Our culture is pacey but supportive, so you must be able to work in synergy with your peers and the different departments around you. Being an active communicator who is a team player and detail-oriented is a must to ensure a uniquely brilliant service experience for our guests.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

1. Greet every guest promptly with a smile and maintain eye contact
2. Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
3. Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
4. Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the company’s standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness
5. Demonstrate expert understanding and knowledge of the sequence of service, following this sequence for every guest.
6. Must possess a full knowledge of menu items, their ingredients and preparation techniques
7. Possess expert knowledge of the POS system to correctly and strategically coordinate guest food and beverage orders
8. Clear, mark and take ownership of table maintenance. Wipe and reset tables
9. Anticipate guest needs, including pre-bussing, re-ordering, check delivery and payments and ensure overall guest satisfaction
10. Follows alcohol awareness procedures and policies
11. Responsible for receiving payment for all items ordered, receives and correctly handles cash, appropriate receipt and distribution of gratuity
12. Assist coworkers in any task necessary to ensure a great environment for guests and coworkers
13. Execute any additional employee duties requested by management
14. Possess expert knowledge of all food and beverage aspects of the In-Room Dining
15. Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel
16. Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested
17. Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
18. Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements

Core Competencies

1. High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
2. Three (3) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred
