Job summary

The LINE DC in Adams Morgan is seeking a dynamic In-Room Dining Server who resides in the Washington DC Ward 1 Area. If hired, you will receive a Ward 1 Resident Bonus of $300* and join a team that combines hospitality excellence with a culture of collaboration.

You will greet guests with warmth, coordinate with peers and departments, and maintain detailed knowledge of the menu and POS system to deliver an outstanding in-room dining experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or GED.
• Three (3) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a smile and professional demeanor.
• Coordinate with kitchen and other departments to ensure seamless service.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menu items, ingredients and preparation techniques.
• Process orders accurately using the POS system and manage payments.
• Maintain table maintenance, reset tables and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Adhere to safety, policies and procedures, and OSHA requirements.

The Role…

We are seeking a dynamic In-Room Dining Server to join our team who also resides in the Washington DC Ward 1 Area. If hired, be prepared to receive a Ward 1 Resident Bonus of $300*. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Greet every guest promptly with a smile and maintain eye contact
• Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
• Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
• Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the company’s standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness
• Demonstrate expert understanding and knowledge of the sequence of service, following this sequence for every guest.
• Must possess a full knowledge of menu items, their ingredients and preparation techniques
• Possess expert knowledge of the POS system to correctly and strategically coordinate guest food and beverage orders
• Clear, mark and take ownership of table maintenance. Wipe and reset tables
• Anticipate guest needs, including pre-bussing, re-ordering, check delivery and payments and ensure overall guest satisfaction
• Follows alcohol awareness procedures and policies
• Responsible for receiving payment for all items ordered, receives and correctly handles cash, appropriate receipt and distribution of gratuity
• Assist coworkers in any task necessary to ensure a great environment for guests and coworkers
• Execute any additional employee duties requested by management
• Possess expert knowledge of all food and beverage aspects of the In-Room Dining
• Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel
• Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested
• Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
• Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements
