Job summary

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is seeking an experienced In-Room Dining Host/ess to provide refined room-service experiences from initial order to delivery and follow-up. You will handle detailed orders, beverages, and presentation with discretion and guest privacy in mind.

The role requires polished phone etiquette, strong product knowledge, and accurate POS handling. Training in wine and cocktails is preferred; weekends and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• PPABC Liquor Certification or course completion required.
• At least 21 years of age with ability to handle alcohol service.
• Previous food service experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls promptly and guide guests through beverage and food selections.
• Enter detailed orders into POS accurately and coordinate with culinary/supervisor.
• Set up dining surface, present dishes, and provide table-side beverage service.
• Confirm guest satisfaction and handle follow-ups for service recovery.
• Retrieve and return equipment, maintain clean service areas, and complete duties.
• Process room charges and gratuities per procedures; maintain confidentiality.
