Job summary

The Cooper is seeking a Guest Room Dining Server in Charleston to uphold the highest room service standards. You will prepare in-room dining trays, deliver meals promptly, and present items attractively to guests, ensuring an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities include following service steps, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness while adhering to sanitation guidelines. A high school diploma is required, and hospitality experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in guest communications.
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate communication.
• Good verbal and written communication skills required.
• Basic computer skills and POS system knowledge.
• Knowledge of table settings and service ware.
• Ability to describe menu items, prices, and preparation methods; use suggestive selling.
• Knowledge of dinner menu products and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Understand all programs, procedures, standards, specifications and training.
• Follow steps of service in preparing, delivering, and servicing orders.
• Prepare in-room dining trays or carts, ensuring items are complete, clean and visually appealing.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly to guest rooms following room service standards.
• Set up trays, carts or tables per guest preference and provide accompaniments.
• Collect used trays and dishes promptly from guest rooms and service areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of room service stations and storage areas.
• Follow sanitation standards for food and beverage items.
