Job summary

Rusco MFG Inc in Machesney Park, IL is seeking an In-Process Quality Assurance Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections across production, verify conformance to drawings, and document nonconformances.

You will use calipers, gauges, and inspection reports, pause line when issues arise, and work with the production supervisor to identify root causes, finishing with clean, accurate records for next shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, assembly, or production preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic technical documentation.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a knack for finding defects.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections at multiple stages of production.
• Verify products meet specifications, drawings, procedures, and customer requirements.
• Identify, document, and report defects, deviations, and quality concerns.
• Conduct first-piece, in-process (line), and final inspections as needed.
• Use inspection tools and measuring equipment accurately.
• Complete inspection reports, checklists, and quality records with care.
• Communicate issues to production supervisors and quality team members promptly.
• Spot trends in recurring defects and support corrective actions.
• Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
