H3 Manufacturing Group, LLC in Champaign, IL, is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to ensure products meet customer quality standards across machining, laser cutting, and fabrication processes. You will perform detailed inspections with CMM, Romer, and optical comparators, read blueprints with GD&T, document results, and work with production teams to resolve non-conformances.

Qualifications

• 2+ years previous experience in a Quality Assurance position.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years previous experience as a Welder/Fabricator is preferred.
• Welding certification(s) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quality inspections of products and their components at different stages of production.
• Performs and documents visual and dimensional inspection on products to determine conformance with customer requirements, technical specifications, drawings, and standards.
• Read and interpret blueprint drawings including Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T).
• Measure parts with CMM, Romer, Optical Comparator.
• Report non-conforming parts to the QA Manager and/or Supervisors.
• Utilize precision measuring equipment (Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, etc.).
• Work with scheduling & planning departments to assist in expediting parts.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Prepare first article and PPAP documentation.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel) to edit/create reports.
