Job summary

Rusco MFG Inc in Machesney Park, IL is seeking an In-Process Quality Assurance Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections across production, verify conformance to drawings, and document nonconformances.

You will use calipers, gauges, and inspection reports, pause line when issues arise, and work with the production supervisor to identify root causes, finishing with clean, accurate records for next shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, assembly, or production preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic technical documentation.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a knack for finding defects.

Responsibilities

In-Process Quality Assurance Inspector

Location: Machesney Park IL

Job Type: Full Time

Shift: 1st

Pay: $22 - $24 per hour

A Day in This Role

You start your shift by gathering your gauges, calipers, and checklists. The first item off the line gets your full attention for a first-article check. Throughout the day, you circulate between workstations, comparing parts to drawings and specs, spotting nonconformances early, and documenting your findings with precision. When something looks off, you pause the process, partner with the production supervisor, and help pinpoint the root cause so the team can correct quickly. You close the day by final-inspecting completed lots, filing accurate reports, and leaving your area organized and safe for the next shift.

Preferred

• 1+ year in quality control or manufacturing inspection.
• Familiarity with ISO, GMP, or comparable quality systems.
• Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings.
• Experience with inspection documentation or a quality management system.
