Job summary

Roush Yates Engines is seeking a detail-oriented CNC Process Inspector to ensure parts and processes meet documented requirements throughout production. You’ll work closely with machinists, supervisors, and Quality personnel to identify issues early and help keep production safe and accurate.

You will read blueprints, inspect with standard tools, and maintain traceability while preventing mix-ups of inspected materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNC/manufacturing education beyond high school preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Blueprint reading and math skills.
• Automated CNC setup experience preferred.
• Understanding of product traceability and nonconforming-material controls.
• Clear written documentation and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections using drawings, revisions, routers, control plans, inspection frequencies, and acceptance criteria.
• Read basic blueprints, dimensions, tolerances, datums, surface finishes, and notes.
• Use calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, bore gages, pin gages, and other inspection equipment.
• Maintain product identification and traceability and prevent mixing of accepted, rejected, and uninspected product.
• Identify out-of-tolerance conditions, tooling issues, unusual machine conditions, or documentation conflicts; stop and elevate work according to established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and positive communication across departments.
• Complete required training and other assigned duties.
