Aptiv is seeking an In-Process Inspector to embed in the production workflow, ensuring conformance from incoming material through WIP inspection. You will verify wire preparation, harness assemblies, and crimps against drawings and customer specs while delivering real-time feedback to prevent defects.

The role reports to Quality Lead, operates on-site in a high-reliability environment, and requires strong attention to detail and clear communication. Eligible for shift differential and benefits.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 certifications are strongly preferred.
• High attention to quality and detail in a manufacturing setting.

Responsabilités

• Perform IQC inspections on cables and connectors and record non-conformances.
• Inspect WIP harness assemblies for conformance at each stage.
• Verify wire prep and contact crimps per drawings and standards.
• Provide real-time feedback to prevent defects before next operation.
• Document nonconforming products and initiate disposition workflows.
• Record evidence in job traveler and quality records; use calibrated tools.
• Maintain 5S, safety, and clean work area; comply with policies.
