Job summary

Amity Foundation is seeking a Counselor I to deliver face-to-face rehabilitative services within the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP) at our prison facilities. You will facilitate CBI classes, conduct individual sessions, assess progress, and document outcomes in ARMS, while collaborating with CDCR and contracted staff.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of substance abuse effects, and the ability to maintain confidentiality under challenging

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver face-to-face rehabilitative programming in ISUDTP.
• Strong facilitation and group management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication abilities.
• Knowledge of substance abuse effects and treatment concepts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CBI classes using evidence-based curriculum.
• Lead individual sessions to develop release plans and make-up work.
• Document progress and deliverables in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CDCS staff and partner sites.
• Complete duties as assigned by the Contractor.
• Pursue AOD certification within five years of hire date.
• Maintain health, safety, confidentiality of participant records.
