APSC is a member and fiscally sponsored project of Asian Americans for Civil Rights and Equality (AACRE), a network dedicated to long‑term movement building and social justice infrastructure. Staff hired for this role will be employees of AACRE.

This is a vital role focused on continuous program improvement, cross‑functional collaboration, and deep community impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data & Quality Assurance: Track program data and metrics to continuously evaluate impact and refine operational procedures.
  • Staff Supervision: Directly supervise the In‑Prison Program Coordinator, including work assignment, professional development, and regular performance feedback.
Communications, Outreach & Advocacy
  • Public Engagement: Represent APSC at public events, panels, and community coalitions; guide content development and storytelling that highlights program impact.
  • Advocacy Alignment: Support campaigns and policy efforts impacting incarcerated individuals, ensuring messaging aligns with APSC values.
Administration & Collaboration
  • Fiscal Management: Manage program budgets and monitor expenditures in coordination with leadership.
  • Grant Support: Contribute to grant reporting, data collection, and funder presentations.
  • Internal Synergy: Collaborate with development, communications, and reentry teams to integrate program and organizational values across the broader organization.
  • 2+ years of program management and supervisory experience within a nonprofit, plus 2+ years of direct experience working with system‑impacted individuals.
  • Deep understanding of in‑prison social dynamics, culture, and institutional politics, with proven skills in mediation, de‑escalation, and relationship building.
  • Strong project management skills (event planning, goal implementation) and comfort with Google Workspace and database management.
  • Occasional overnight travel, estimated to be less than 5% of total work time per year.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
