Job summary

The Boring Company in Bastrop, TX is seeking a Remote Operator to remotely control tunneling equipment, including the Tunnel Boring Machine. This 100% in-person role requires a background in aviation, military, mining, or related fields, and involves working at the Global Operations Control Center with occasional travel to project sites.

You will ensure adherence to strict procedures, document failures, and support training initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of remote-controlled field operations experience (military/aviation/mining/infrastructure preferred).
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and robotic systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking and strategic planning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse teams.
• Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced, in-person deployment in Bastrop, TX.

Responsibilities

• Remotely control mining operations from the GOCC or equivalent facility.
• Record and document process failures affecting cost, speed, or reliability.
• Develop and follow documents to standardize operations and maximize efficiency.
• Ensure safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure work environment.
• Assist in training programs for field and operations personnel to enhance skills.
