Job summary

The Boring Company is seeking a Field Operations Engineer to drive production and logistics for our tunneling projects. You will interface with construction operations teams and help ensure efficient field execution, with long hours in the field including time in the tunnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field; master’s preferred.
• Experience in field operations, construction or infrastructure.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and robotic systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production and logistics activities related to tunneling operations in Las Vegas.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize field operations and reduce downtime.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
• Act as liaison between field teams, engineering, project management and supply chain.
• Provide technical support during installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of tunneling equipment.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure adherence to project specs.
• Coordinate with suppliers to manage deliveries and inventory.
• Assist in developing training programs for field personnel.
• Stay updated on industry trends and tunneling technology.
