Job summary

Wipfli is seeking interns for an in-person role focused on accounting, tax and audit support. You will work with clients and firm professionals to prepare returns, gather information, and analyze data to drive recommendations.

The internship requires pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting, with CPA exam eligibility in view. You will gain hands-on experience across tax and related software, and collaborate in a team-oriented office environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (completion of corporate or individual taxation class is required)
• Above average knowledge in accounting; GPA typically 3.0 or higher
• Working toward eligibility to sit for CPA exam after graduation
• Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data
• Ability to think independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients and staff

Responsibilities

• Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive manner
• Gather information from clients to complete required documents
• Use data analysis to identify patterns and provide support for recommendations
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
• Prepare individual, business and fiduciary tax returns and projections
• Research tax issues and related financial reports
