Job summary

Wipfli is seeking a driven accounting student to join our tax advisory team in a role that blends client service with data-driven analysis. You will help prepare tax returns and projections while gaining hands-on experience with leading software and real-world clients across various industries.

The position emphasizes independent thinking, timely communication, and a proactive approach to process improvements.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting with corporate or individual tax class completed.
GPA 3.0 or higher preferred.
Eligible to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation.
Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data.

Responsibilities

Respond to client and firm associate requests promptly and professionally.
Gather information from clients to complete required documents.
Use data analysis skills to identify useful information and support recommendations.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
Prepare individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns and projections following firm and professional standards.
Utilize current tax and accounting software applications effectively.
Research tax-related issues and financial reports.
Conduct a limited number of tax return interviews as needed.
