Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor to work in person at a local Block Advisors office in Los Gatos, CA. You will prepare complete tax returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients to understand financial situations, and provide personalized recommendations to optimize tax outcomes.

You will deliver tax savings opportunities, handle IRS notices, and work with teammates to maintain a client-focused office.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
Experience preparing complex individual and business returns, including tax planning and audit support.
Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
High school diploma / GED / equivalent.
