Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an intern for a 12-week Software Engineer internship to develop, maintain and ship products with a mentored team. You will contribute to real problems for customers and gain hands-on experience in building scalable systems.

Applicants must be pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in CS, graduating 2027–2028, with up to 2 years of full-time work experience. Location options include New York, San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Los Angeles or Seattle, with in-person summer work.

Qualifications

• Experience with databases (AWS, SQL)
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Proficiency with at least 1 object-oriented language (Python, Java, Kotlin)
• Experience writing clean code, using version control, and unit testing

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and ship technical elements with mentor and team
• Act on feedback and mentorship from team
• Collaborate to solve real problems for customers
• Participate in intern programming and present learnings at end of internship
